My Life Journey
Music, Stoicism, Foil fencing...
🎻 From Stage to Studio: A Life in Music
I am a concert violinist by profession, having performed in some of the world’s most revered halls—including Carnegie Hall, and stages across Europe, South America, and North America. Music has shaped my life for over two decades.
These days, I teach violin to students from ages five to sixty-seven. I believe deeply in discipline, but I also believe that discipline must be rooted in connection and kindness. My teaching is always tailored to the student—not the other way around. I aim to be not just a guide, but a companion on each student’s musical path. I’ve been teaching in Germany for the past 12 years.
🌍 The Orchestra Quest
In the spirit of adventure, I embarked on a personal quest after reading “The Happiness of Pursuit” by Chris Guillebeau—a book that awakened something deep in me. Inspired by an article listing the top 20 orchestras in the world, I set out to hear them all live.
So far, I’ve heard 19 of the 20 orchestras perform in person. Only one remains—a summer orchestra in Japan. The quest is still alive, and the final note is yet to be played.
🏛 The Stoic Path
In 2019, I discovered the ancient philosophy of Stoicism. I enrolled in the College of Stoic Philosophers, completed all their courses, and later became a mentor myself. Stoicism gave me a foundation for living with clarity, purpose, and inner strength.
In 2020, I joined the Stoic Monastery, created by Erik Wiegardt, the founder of the College. Erik has been both a mentor and a dear friend over the years. Through this path, I was introduced to core shamanism, and the practice of contacting the daimon—the guiding spirit spoken of in ancient Greek philosophy.
✨ Astrology and the Sky Above
My mentor also encouraged me to explore astrology, which soon became a serious and transformative part of my studies. I am now pursuing a diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, working to understand both its symbolic language and practical applications.
🗡 Foil, Focus, and Flow
Outside music and philosophy, my favorite physical practice is foil fencing. It challenges the body and sharpens the mind. There’s something sacred in the elegance of the duel—the rhythm, the timing, the presence.
🌲 Becoming a Forest Monk
In recent years, my journey took a contemplative turn. I became a Forest Monk within the Stoic Monastery—a role grounded in reflection, simplicity, and service. I now write about this experience on my blog:

👨👧👦 A Father First
Among all my roles, none is more important than being a father. Raising my children is the most grounding, humbling, and profound journey of all. It’s where I practice everything I believe.
