Core-Shamanism
I learned about shamanism from my Stoic teacher, and soon I was following his advice and getting first-hand experience with journeying. After reading a couple of books, I decided I wanted to train with reputable teachers.
Michael Harner and his Foundation for Shamanic Studies seemed like the right fit for me. So I enrolled in many of their courses and gained experience.
I haven’t had the chance yet to join their Three-Year Program, but I’m super excited to make it happen. Since my first language is Spanish, I would like to do the program in Spanish, especially because I already know the mentors in Spain quite well and feel very comfortable with them. But they don’t start a Three-Year Program every year, so I’m currently on hold, waiting for the opportunity.
Shamanism is quite esoteric, and often frowned upon by many people. And since I’m still in the beginning stages of my shamanic training, I don’t openly talk about it much—especially because I’m not knowledgeable at this point.
So, I have few words to share when it comes to shamanism—but I’m listening, I’m learning, and I’m ready for whatever comes next.
