Right now, I’m getting ready to start teaching violin again after a six-week break.
I’m also looking forward to mentoring again in the advanced program at the College of Stoic Philosophers.
One thing I’ve noticed: I have almost no free weekends during this season. I have a lot of concerts.
But I shouldn’t complain. I always say that playing and teaching violin is not a job.
I get paid to play an instrument. To make music.
What a privilege!
I’m also looking forward to fencing again. It’s been two months without a foil in my hand. Foil fencing really is my favorite sport.
I’m not a sports person—what would you expect from a professional musician?—but in 2023 I went for a couple of trial lessons and, man, I was hooked.
And lastly, I’m looking forward to November, when I’ll attend the second session of the three-year program with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies in Spain.
The first session was in July, and I came back a different person.
Looking forward to September 2, when the new season begins. :)
